A desk micro-zone is a hard boundary: claim about a 15×15 cm square and refuse figure creep across the keyboard. Display writers call the failure mode “cluttered shelf syndrome”; on desks it becomes coffee-ring chaos.
Rules
- One riser or tray max inside the zone
- Two to three pieces — not eight
- Nothing else in that square (no chargers, no sticky notes)
- Swap monthly; store the rest in breathable bags
Best fits: Sweetness 100% (7–12 cm), small keychain pendants on a mini stand, or one sealed BJD for posing between work sessions. If you need more presence, graduate to a dedicated shelf — do not expand the micro-zone. The constraint is the feature.
Light with a small warm desk lamp from the side; overhead noon glare flattens faces. Lint-roll weekly — desks are dust magnets.
