Glass Cloche Moments for Hidden and 400% Pulls

Figure under glass cloche

A glass cloche (bell jar) marks a single piece as special. Collectors use cloches for hidden pulls, first favorites, or fragile embroidered faces — the enclosure says “specimen,” not “toy pile.”

When It’s Worth It

  • One chase or favorite you actually care about — not every regular
  • Light-colored plush that shows dust quickly
  • Desk pieces that get bumped by cups and keyboards

Skip cloches for daily-carry keychains. Those belong on bags, then on hooks when resting.

Staging

  1. Wood or stone base that contrasts the plush (warm wood under cream Nommi; dark base under Maymei forest tones)
  2. One piece only — three items inside defeats the point
  3. Wipe glass separately; never spray cleaner onto plush
  4. Away from direct sun — glass concentrates light and heat
Cloche rule: if you would not photograph it alone, it does not need a jar.
